Projects Overview

Rawson Oil and Gas currently hold a wet-gas production asset in the Cooper Basin (PRL 26) and high value exploration assets in the western Otway Basin, South Australia, through 100% subsidiary Otway Energy Pty Ltd. We have recently been awarded PPL 549 (Aitape Basin) and PPL 560 (Cape Vogel Basin) and have purchased PPL 391 (Wewak Trough) in Papua New Guinea and have a further two licence applications under consideration.

Our Australian assets are located in relative close proximity to infrastructure and markets, well positioned to capitalise on forecast east coast gas supply shortfalls. This enables us to benefit from an improved economic scenario to achieve commercial developments, even in circumstances where discovered volumes may be modest.

The petroleum licences and applications in Papua New Guinea represent a mix of high risk-high growth frontier opportunities (North New Guinea and Cape Vogel) and complimentary lower risk plays (Western Province) giving us a growing acreage portfolio in Papua New Guinea.
