Rawson
Resources Limited (Rawson) will begin a five well CSG drilling program in
the Surat Basin, Queensland, in mid-November, 2008. Rawson has a 15%
interest in two permits, ATP 837P and ATP 873P, in the Surat Basin,
Energetica Resources Pty. Ltd. has a 15% interest and TRUenergy Queensland
Pty. Ltd. (TRUenergy) has a 70% and is the operator.
TRUenergy
will use the Ancon Rig 1 (see picture below) to drill, core and test up to
five CSG exploration wells. Initially, these first wells will be drilled in
ATP 873P (WSNB-2 & WSNB-1) to a depth of about 500m to test the Walloon
Coals, which are productive for CSG in the adjacent Lacerta Gas Field
operated by Sunshine Gas.

Following
this initial drilling it is planned to drill W SNB-3 to depths of 700m , and
then move the rig to ATP 837P where two wells will be drilled to test the
Walloon Coals at depths around 1,000m . The cores from these wells will be
recovered and tested for gas saturation and permeability.
During
early 2009 there will be an assessment of further work requirements
followed by examination of pilot production options. This is the
commencement of Rawson's CSG exploration program in Queensland; Rawson is excited by this
move into CSG exploration as part of its integrated energy exploration
portfolio.
